Gomis: I wish Turkey was in the World Cup

Galatasaray’s French goalscorer spoke to fans about the international football tournament in Istanbul today.

French hitman Bafetimbi Gomis spoke with football fans during a gathering sponsored by Adidas where he spoke about the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The 32-year-old said he supports France but also Senegal due to his origins.

He went on to express his desire to see Turkey in the international tournament.

“I wish Turkey was in the World Cup. The people have shown my family and I lots of respect and love. It would have made me very happy to support Turkey,” he explained.

As expected, Bafetimbi predicted France would be the winner and believes they are the favorites.
