Fenerbahce sign Ferdi Kadioglu from NEC

The Yellow Canaries announced their newest signing on their website today.

As was widely expected, Ferdi Kadioglu has completed his transfer to Super Lig powerhouse Fenerbahce.

The club announced the news on their website and social media today.

The 18-year-old has agreed to a four-year deal. The transfer fee has not been disclosed however it is believed to be around €1.4 million.

The Turkish-Dutch youngster signs his contract.

Ferdi, born in 1999, was spotted one of Istanbul’s airports last night.

Fener boss Phillip Cocu spoke about the club’s young talent;

“We are very happy to be able to add a young, talented player with high potential like Ferdi, to our Fenerbahce family. I hope he will serve us for many years to come.”

The promising midfielder made his debut for NEC Nijmegen aged 16 and went on to make 70 appearances, scoring 12 goals and adding 16 assists. However, the Netherlands U21 international couldn’t help them win promotion back to the Eredivisie and now moves to Turkey, the country of his father.
