Unal Karaman: Those who don’t play gain weight

The Black Sea Storm couldn’t find a way past lowly Erzurumspor on Monday night and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Following his team’s draw with Erzurumspor on Monday evening, Trabzonspor boss Unal Karaman was not happy with his side’s performance.

During the post-match conference, he made his frustrations clear to reporters.

“I congratulate Erzurumspor. They have prepared well and they put up a good fight. We’re still close with other teams in the standings, there isn’t much of a point difference. But by playing well for two weeks doesn’t mean you can get away with playing badly in the third week,” he said.

He also spoke about his frustrations with the international break, saying it breaks the rhythm of his team.

“The international break ruins us. The players we send come back with all sort of problems. The ones who play come back with issues and the ones who don’t play gain weight. We’re experiencing difficulties as a team,” he vented.
