Mbaye Diagne hints at summer Kasimpasa exit

Mbaye Diagne to leave at end of season

Kasimpasa’s in-form striker has dropped a hint that he could be on the move at the end of the season.

Leading the goal scoring charts at the moment for his club and the league, Mbaye Diagne has hinted this could be his last season with Kasimpasa during an interview with local reporters.

With 11 goals to his name already, the Senegalese striker has been the name to watch this season as the Big Three continue to have issues with scoring. His form has paid off; Kasimpasa are currently in 2nd place in the league with 19 points.

While answering questions about his form, his team’s and personal objectives, the player was direct with his answers.

“I’ve set a goal of scoring more than 20 goals this season. I’m doing well right now but I know I can do better. I want to win the first place in the goalscoring charts. It’s a long process and hard work but this is what I set for myself.”

“Our goal as a team is to finish the league with the highest number of points. We are still at the beginning although we are doing a good job now. We want to participate in Europe and be successful in the league.”

The most interesting answer came when asked about his future with the club.

“I want to finish the season with Kasimpasa this year. It’s too early to talk about what will happen, whether I will join another team in Turkey or go to England or France or some other country.

But I want to progress in my career. I know if I continue this way there will be many teams who will show interest in me. This is normal, of course, because a forward who scores a lot of goals always attracts attention,” he explained.
