Galatasaray appoint Italian conditioning coach Alberto Bartali

Cim Bom have added an Italian conditioning coach to their backroom staff in hopes of improving their players’ fitness levels as the season enters a critical stage.

Galatasaray have appointed Alberto Bartali as their new conditioning coach, who brings a wealth of experience with him.

The 55-year-old has worked with a number of clubs around the world including some of the most well-recognized names in Europe such as Fiorentina, Napoli, Nice, Zenit st. Petersburg, Sampdoria, Catania.

His arrival has been praised by officials at the club who have commented on his focus on discipline among the players.

Bartali instructing Galatasaray players.

“Think of Bartali as a doctor. He came, diagnosed the team, made a treatment plan and prescribed the medication,” was the phrase used by one of the club’s officials in describing their newest addition to the backroom.

Galatasaray are hoping with their new “Italian model” of conditioning that they will be able to make the most of their squad which is lacking in depth as they face shortages in a number of areas such as the forward position.
