Fenerbahce striker Muriqi courted by giants

The Kosovo striker has caught the attention of several big European and British clubs with his performances this season.

Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi’s performances as a consistent target man have not gone unnoticed by Europe’s biggest clubs.

The tall forward has established himself as a key player at Fenerbahce ever since arriving from Caykur Rizespor for €3.5 million prior to the beginning of the season.

In the 16 league appearances he has made for Fenerbahce so far, Vedat mas managed to score 10 goals and provide 3 assists, making him one of the most potent players in Ersun Yanal’s squad and in the league overall.

According to reports in England and Turkey, Tottenham Hotspur have shown serious interest in the player and have inquired about his availability during the January transfer window.

The English club are reported to have made an €8 million bid for Muriqi.

However, Fenerbahce have rejected the offer as the have no plans to sell their key player during the mid-season break.

The 25-year-old is also wanted by clubs from Italy although no official bids have been made by any Italian club as of yet.
