Fenerbahce rebuffs Crystal Palace offer for Ozan Tufan

Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have turned down Crystal Palace’s transfer bid for their rugged midfielder Ozan Tufan.

In the hope of strengthening their team for their upcoming games in the Premier League, Crystal Palace saw their €8 million bid for midfielder Ozan Tufan rejected by Fenerbahce, with the Turkish club reported to be asking for €12 million.

This news was reported by Fotomac, who claimed that the Eagles might just pull up with an improved offer for the 25-year-old midfielder before the winter transfer window ends.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the last two weeks, as head coach Roy Hodgson seeks to strengthen up his team this month, and online casino usa is willing to place odds on his potential new players.

The reports coming from Turkey previously claim that there has been a €10 million bid rejection, it was pulled back by the Turkish club chief Emre, who insisted that they had not received any bid from Crystal Palace or any other club interested in their midfielder.

The Eagles, however, continued to be linked with a move for the midfielder, while the Turkish giants are still considering if they should part ways with their prolific player.

Fotomac recently reported to the media that the club has ‘turned down without thinking’ an offer worth €8m for the 25-year-old midfielder, making it clear that they will not accept any offer below €12 million for the midfielder.

The Turkish giants remain unwilling to part ways with the player they consider indispensable in their club a fee lower than that price, despite signing Mesut Ozil from Arsenal this winter.

It was confirmed that Crystal Palace is planning to improve their offer quite handsomely, although the current price tag is expected to increase further, and it could increase further to €15 million.

It is still unknown if the Premier League club is willing to match up with the price tag set by the Turkish club, but it is understood that the Eagles are interested in the player.

Tufan, who made his Super Lig debut with Bursaspor in May 2013, moved to Fenerbahce in the summer of 2015 for €7 million. After scaling through a rough start to the Premier League campaign, Crystal Palace is currently sitting in the 13th position in the English top-flight. They have only registered one win in their last five league campaigns; two defeats and two draws.

Head coach Roy Hodgson will be hoping to improve their record in their next game against West Ham at the Selhurst Park Stadium.
