West Ham in race against GS, FB to sign AS Monaco star Onyekuru

AS Monaco winger Henry Onyekuru, currently on loan with The Lions in Turkey, is attracting interest from a host of clubs with West Ham United reported to be one of them.

West Ham United will not be willing to let the opportunity to improve their team pass them by this winter, as they have been reported to be in stiff competition with Turkish clubs for the potential signature of AS Monaco star Henry Onyekuru, who American online casino have tabled odds for in every single game he was able to play.

The Nigerian winger was previously signed by Premier League club Everton from Belgian side Eupen in the summer of 2017, but he was unable to feature in a single game for the Toffees before he was sent on loan back to Belgium to join Anderlecht.

He was quite impressive for the Belgian club, as he bagged 10 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions before he succumbed to a knee ligament injury, which ended his campaign with Anderlecht that season.

The 23-year-old winger is no stranger in Turkey, having moved to Galatasaray on loan for the 2018/19 campaign. He quickly adapted to life with the Turkish club following full recovery from his injury. He scored 14 goals in 31 Super Lig appearances which were pivotal in helping them win a domestic double that season.

Onyekuru was unable to attain a work permit to play in the UK which led to the Toffees selling the winger to Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco in the summer of 2019. Although the fee remained undisclosed to the public, it was believed to be in the region of £12-15million.

His time with the French team wasn’t all that great as he was sent on his second loan to Galatasaray after failing to score in his four league appearances for the club.

He returned to the French club for the 2020/21 campaign and he has only been able to secure four starts.

Turkish outlet Sabah reported that Galatasaray is currently looking to bring in the player for a third spell. And thanks to his prolific time in Turkey, Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have also developed an interest in the Nigerian winger, and real money casino is willing to place odds regarding his next destination.

The report also further stated the interest coming from English club West Ham, who are looking to sign the 23-year-old star to bolster their squad in the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

Following an impressive start to their league campaign this season, the Hammers currently sit at the seventh position having claimed three victories in their last five league games with two draws.

Galatasaray is looking to bring in the Nigerian star for the third spell in hopes of strengthening up their team. They currently sit in the 3rd position in the Super Lig table with five points away from league leaders Besiktas.

It was reported that French club Monaco are open to accepting a €1.5 million loan, which will also include a €5.5m permanent deal.
