Isla: We have to be champions this season

Chilean Mauricio Isla was a guest on channel CBF in his native country recently.

During the programming on CBF, Isla had some interesting things to say. Below are some of the comments he made regarding football in Turkey, his team and his life in Turkey.

“I have lots of ‘El Turco’ friends. However, I’ve found out they aren’t actually Turkish. Turks live in Turkey and their language is very different. I decided to name my daughter Luz Elif because she will be born in Istanbul. My coach says I should be physically strong always. I should always pass well, defend well, and be helpful to my team as a fullback. For the last three years, I’ve been in a team that wasn’t a champion. This season, I wish to end this and we want to be champions. We want to return to the Champions League, we always talk about this within the team. ”

“In Turkey, the supporters really live for their teams. Our supporters try to always be close to where ever we are.

The 29-year-old right-back joined Fenerbahce in July of 2017.
