Turkish Super Lig title contenders Fenerbahce have sent their central defender Zanka on loan to German football club Fortuna Dusseldorf, the club announced on Friday.
The Denmark international joined Fenerbahce from Huddersfield Town for roughly €2 million in August 2019.
Zanka will spend the rest of the 2019-2020 season with the Bundesliga outfit, who have the option to buy the player for an undisclosed figure.
He is contractually tied to Fenerbahce until June 2022 but is expected to be sold in the summer once he returns from his loan.
In the statement released on the club’s official website, Fenerbahce wished Zanka success at his new team.
