Abdullah Avci: ‘It didn’t suit us.’

Istanbul Basaksehir lost 4-1 to Alanyaspor tonight and their manager Abdullah Avci had few words to say during the post-match conference.

Abdullah Avci didn’t have much to say after their shocking defeat.

Basaksehir succumbed to their 5th loss of the season after a lackluster performance against Alanyaspor and lost the opportunity to pick up a vital three points in the title race which is getting tighter with each passing week.

Manager Abdullah Avci had very little to say in the post-match press conference.

“Our opponent has talented players. We need to be in the right positions when we were in possesion of the ball. In the first half, we didn’t play well when we had the ball, we couldn’t organize properly. And when they had possesion, we kept distant.”

“We haven’t seen a score like this or played like this in a long time. It didn’t suit us, it’s not typical of us. But we will move on. We will continue to push in the final 9 weeks we have.”

The Istanbul-based side are still in the title race but will need to remain focused and hope for a little bit of luck if they are to be victorious at the end of the campaign.
