Cuneyt Cakir, Turkey’s most famous referee as of recent times, has been invited to officiate 2018 FIFA World Cup matches in Russia, according to FIFA.

Along side Cakir will be his assistants Bahattin Duran and Tarik Ongun, who are also from Turkey.

Cuneyt Cakir is one of 36 referees that have been invited to Russia while Duran and Ongun are among the 63 assistant referees that will be taking part of the World Cup.
