Trabzonspor set to release defender Jan Durica

Trabzonspor will not renew Jan Durica’s contract and the player will leave the club at the end of the season.

Slovak defender Jan Durica will not be a Trabzonspor player next season after the club have decided against offering the player a new deal.

The 36-year-old’s age is the main reason the club have chosen not to keep the player any longer.

Durica joined the Black Sea Storm two seasons ago and quickly earned his place in the first eleven.

His wife, Magdalena Sbestovu, has hinted at the departure on social media with farewell posts.

Trabzonspor will play Karabukspor in the final round of the Turkish Super Lig today, where he will play for the club for the last time.

Another player whose contract is up this month is Dame N’Doye. The Senegalese forward, aged 32, is rumored to be looking for an extension however it is unclear whether the club’s management will offer one.
