Bafetimbi Gomis becomes league’s top goalscorer

The French striker set a record in Turkish football.

Galatasaray striker Bafetimbi Gomis scored his team’s wining goal to win the league title and set a new record by doing so.

“Golmis”, as he is referred to by fans, scored his 29th goal of the season to become the top goalscorer of the league this season and become the all-time foreign top scorer in Turkish Super Lig history.

The record was held previously by Fenerbahce legend Alex De Souza with 28 goals.

The 32-year-old Frenchman has had an outstanding first season with Cimbom and fans will be hoping he can build on this for his second year at the club next season.
