Istanbulspor appoint Fatih Tekke as manager

The 1.Lig side have chosen Fatih Tekke as the man to lead them into next season.

Istanbul’s lesser known club, Istanbulspor, have hired legendary former striker Fatih Tekke as their manager.

The club’s previous manager, Yalcin Kosukavak, had resigned from the position just days ago, leaving the club to look for a new boss.

The 40-year-old was seen with Istanbulspor board of directors at a cafe in Istanbul.

Tekke was previously in charge of Denizlispor, also in the 1.Lig, where he took over near the end of the 2017/2018 season. He began his career in management in 2015 and had stints at Boluspor, Manisaspor and most recently at Denizlispor.
