Fenerbahce in talks with new football director

Frenchman Damien Comolli is in Istanbul and holding talks about a backroom position at the club, reports from Turkey claim.

Fenerbahce could have a new director of football as Frenchman Damien Comolli has been reported to be in talks with Fenerbahce’s new president Ali Koc.

Comolli is a scout and director of football with plenty of experience and is said to be newly elected president Ali Koc’s chosen target as he seeks to implement a makeover at the club.

Born in France, Damien has worked with Monaco AS, Saint-Etienne, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool and has overseen the transfers and scouting department at each club.

He Speaks fluent English, Spanish and French.

He is credited with the discovery of players such as Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy.

The 46-year-old has an eye for spotting talent and is responsible for discovering numerous talent from across the globe.
