Koray Gunter leaves G.Saray, signs for Genoa

The young defender signed for the Italian club today on a free transfer.

Serie A club Genoa have announced the signing of Koray Gunter. The club released a statement on their social media account to notify their fans. The player left Galatasaray upon the expiration of his contract.

“Koray is a high-quality player. He is here to do well and show his talent on the field,” the club said.

The 23-year-old said he was proud to sign for his new club.

“I have come to an important club that is historic. I am proud.”

Genoa had been linked with a move for the player months ago after Galatasaray had made it clear he was not in Fatih Terim’s plans for the new season.
