Fener’s Aatif: I’m not thinking about leaving

Moroccan star Aatif Chahechouhe spoke to reporters after his team’s training session in Switzerland.

Fenerbahce midfielder Aatif Chahechouhe dismissed rumours of him leaving the club during a press conference held in the team’s training ground in Switzerland. The Istanbul club are carrying out part of their pre-season training in the European nation.

The 32-year-old addressed the reports linking him with a move to Konyaspor.

“I’m very happy to be at Fenerbahce. I’m on good terms with our coach and with our sporting director. I’m not thinking about leaving Fenerbahce. I’m very proud to be here. God willing, I’ll continue to wear the club’s shirt,” he said.

He also spoke about his relationship with fellow countryman Valbuena.

“There are speculations in football. We know that. Valbuena and I are getting along very well. We are a good group but ultimately our coach will decide who plays. Sometimes I will play, sometimes he will. I understand that the fans are speculating and they have the right to but there are no issues between us.”
