Lucescu to follow UEFA U19 EURO for talent

The boss of the Turkish national team will be present in Finland to scout for promising players.

Mircea Lucescu will be present in Finland to watch the UEFA U19 EURO Championshp, according to the experienced coach himself.

“I think this tournament will be an excellent opportunity to compare the levels of our young players with their European peers. After watching the World Cup to see how our first-team’s opponents are doing, I want to see what the upcoming players for our team look like,” he was quoted as saying.

The Under-19 European Championship kicked off yesterday in Finland. Turkey’s Under-19 team is grouped with France, England and Ukraine in Group B.

Their first game is today against England at 6:30PM local time. You can find out the game schedule for the tournament here.
