Konyaspor sign Opanasenko from Ukraine

The Anatolian Eagle has announced the signing of the Ukrainian defender today.

Konyaspor have completed the transfer of Yevhen Opanasenko from Ukrainian Premier League outfit Zorya Luhansk.

The Super Lig side tied the player down to a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old defender, also capable of playing as a right-back, was presented during a signing ceremony held at the Buyuksehir Belediye Stadium.

“We have signed a 2+1 year contract with Yevhen. He has serious experience in European cups, both in preliminary stages and in the group stages. He is able to use both feet well and has played 177 games in the Ukrainian Premier League and scored 9 goals. We believe that he will make important contributions to our team next season.” Konyaspor president Osman Kocak said during the ceremony.

The player himself also spoke and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity.

“I know Konyaspor from Europa League matches. I see a resilient team here. I’m very excited to be able to wear the club’s jersey. Along with our teammates, we will do everything in our power to qualify for Europe.”

Yevhen has been assigned the number 39 for the upcoming season.
