Galatasaray to offer Nigerian youth Alimi pro contract

The Lions will add Nigerian youngster Sunday Alimi to their first team.

Galatasaray is struggling to sign a big-name player this summer due to their obligations to Financial Fair Play and like rivals Fenerbahce are turning to young players to bolster their squad. Nigerian forward Sunday Alimi will be given a professional contract and join the first-team, according to sources close to the club.

The promising player, who has been compared to former Galatasaray winger Bruma due to his affinity to run with the ball from deep and similar style of play, is said to have caught the eye of Fatih Terim.

The 18-year-old joined Galasataray’s youth team from Nigerian club Lobi Stars last year in October 2017.
