Crystal Palace interested in Galatasaray’s Belhanda

The Moroccan star is wanted in England but the player is unsure about the move.

Galatasaray’s attacking midfielder Younes Belhanda has attracted interest from English Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

The 28-year-old has been made a transfer target by the London club, who have made contact with Galatasaray over the availability of the player. An offer around the €6 million mark could be on the cards in the coming days, according to sources close to the club.

The Moroccan international is reported to be not keen on making a move to England as he would prefer to play in the Champions League next season.

Younes was in fine form last season, scoring 3 goals and 10 assists in 35 appearances for The Lions.

He joined Galatasaray last summer from Dynamo Kiev and played a part in the club’s title winning season.

However, Belhanda has been criticized by some Galatasaray fans and according to sources the club’s manager Fatih Terim is not against selling him this summer.

Despite Belhanda’s stance, the talks will continue with Crystal Palace and Galatasaray’s board would be open to selling him as they need to bring in revenue because of their obligations to Financial Fair Play (FFP).
