Turkish coach Mehmet Ozdilek offered job in Qatar

Konyaspor’s former boss, Mehmet Ozdilek, revealed he has a lucrative offer on the table from a club in the Middle East nation.

Mehmet Ozdilek is unsure whether to take up a job offer in the Qatar Stars League, after revealing he received an offer one week ago.

His last stint as a manager was with Super Lig outfit Konyaspor, where he had a rough time before being let go by the club’s bosses.

“I had a difficult time last year. I chose a difficult club. At the end of the season, I had meetings with clubs from Turkey and abroad. I’m not in a rush. If it’s the right project, I’m there. I received an offer from the Qatar Stars League one week ago,” he was quoted as saying.

Ozdilek was linked with a move to Besiktas alongside Senol Gunes as his assistant but Guti and Ilhan Mansiz were the eventual appointees.
