Man City defender Mangala offered to Fenerbahce

The defender is on his way out of Man City, with Istanbul a potential destination.

Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has been offered to Turkish giants Fenerbahce by his representatives, according to reports in Turkey.

The 27-year-old is still recovering from an injury sustained while on loan at Everton, making it difficult for City cash in on a player who has previously resisted permanent moves away from the Etihad.

In an effort to offload him, Mangala’s representatives have offered him to Fenerbahce, who have had a previous interest in the player, but they are said to be only interested in a loan deal.

The Yellow Canaries are still seeing out a settlement agreement with UEFA for breaches of Financial Fair Play rules, restricting how much they can spend, and their only option to materialize the transfer would be to take on much of his salary and loan him until his City contract expires next summer.
