Turkish Super Cup to be officiated by Cuneyt Cakir

The experienced referee will take charge of the duel on August 5th.

The Turkish Football Federation have appointed Cuneyt Cakir as the official to call the shots during the duel between finalists Galatasaray and Akhisarspor for the Turkish Super Cup.

His assistants will be Bahattin Duran and Tarik Ongun. The fourth official will be Umit Ozturk.

Kick-off time is 8:45PM local-time at Konya Buyuksehir Stadium.

Galatasaray are the favorites as they will try to win the cup for the 16th time. They hold the record of having lifted the cup 15 times.

The last time they won the Super Cup was back in 2015 when they defeated Bursaspor 1-0.

Whereas Akhisarspor will make their first appearance ever, hoping to add their first trophy to their cabinet.
