Fatih Terim approaches 400th game

The Emperor will take charge of his 400th official match on August 5th.

Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim is closing in on a new personal record; his 400th official match as a football manager.

The experienced coach will lead his team against minnows Akhisarspor as they battle it out for the Turkish Super Cup on August 5th in Konya.

Cim Bom’s most successful manager, Terim, has won numerous trophies and accolades during his managerial career. He has lifted the Super Lig, Turkish Cup, Turkish Super Cup and UEFA Cup as well as having participated in the Champions League and Europa League tournaments numerous times.

His best in the Champions League is reaching the quarter-final with Galatasaray in the 2012/2013 season.

As manager of the Turkish national team, his best achievement has been reaching the semi-finals in Euro 2008.

While managing Galatasaray,, during all four stints combined, he has achieved 247 victories, 86 draws and and suffered 66 defeats. He boasts a 62 percent win ratio.

The 56-year-old will be hoping he can add yet another trophy to his cabinet as he steps out on to the pitch for the 400th time as a football manager on Sunday, August 5th.
