Nwakaeme in Istanbul for talks with Trabzonspor

The Nigerian forward has arrived in Istanbul and will discuss terms with Trabzonspor.

Nigerian international Anthony Nwakaeme has arrived in Istanbul from Israel to discuss terms with Trabzonspor. The 29-year-old striker currently plays for Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva, where he has put in consistent performances.

The Black Sea Storm has sent representatives to Istanbul to meet with the player and will try to tie the striker down to a contract as they seek to bolster their offensive line.

The Super Lig club’s vice president Hayrettin Hacisalihoglu spoke about the player’s arrival.

“We’ll have a meeting with the player in Istanbul. We have certain conditions and we will talk with him regarding them. Many players come to Istanbul for talks. If he has a request which will put us in a difficult position financially and principally, we won’t complete the transfer.”

The two parties are reported to be close to agreeing terms with formal details expected to be sorted out.
