Galatasaray sell Lionel Carole to Strasbourg

The French left-back has been sold to RC Strasbourg in order to make room for another foreign player.

Galatasaray have parted ways with French left-back Lionel Carole. The Turkish club have reached an agreement with Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg for the transfer of the player in exchange for €750,000.

The 27-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract with his new club.

Fatih Terim had given the green light to off-load the player so they can free up a slot for another foreign player and get rid of his €700,000-a-year salary.

Carole joined Galatasaray for €1.5 million from another French club, Troyes, in the summer of 2015.
