Younes Belhanda insults fan at airport

The Moroccan star has received criticism for his sending-off during Galatasaray’s heavy loss against Trabzonspor on Saturday.

Galatasaray midfielder Younes Belhanda had a run-in with one of Galatasaray’s supporters after the team arrived at Trabzon Airport for their return flight to Istanbul on Saturday evening after their disastrous loss against the Black Sea Storm.

The supporter protested against the Moroccan international in English, telling him to “go home”.

Once Belhanda heard the supporter’s protest, he replied with an insult in Arabic. One of the club’s officials, Mert Cetin, was quick to intervene before the situation got out of hand and pulled the player away to diffuse the situation.

The footage was taken by the supporter speaking in the video, who shared it on social media where it went viral.

The 28-year-old came under heavy criticism during Galatasaray’s 4-0 loss to Trabzonspor, during which he was sent off in the 30th minute of the first half.

Ref gives Belhanda his marching orders against Trabzonspor.
