PAOK’s Pelkas rejected Fenerbahce offer

Greek midfielder Dimitris Pelkas has turned down an approach from Fenerbahce this summer.

Greek club PAOK’s talented midfielder Dimitris Pelkas has confirmed he received an offer from Fenerbahce.

The 24-year-old made the revelation during his sit down with Greek media today.

“There was an offer from Turkey at one point. For me, the most important thing is the respect you are shown, the demand and the love. I don’t know if they had these for me. I sat down and spoke with our coach. He told me he wants me at PAOK. I wanted to stay anyway and so I stayed,” he explained.

Regarding the offer itself, Pelkas said;

“It was a difficult offer to turn down. Everyone wants to earn more money. But life isn’t all about money. I have more important things at PAOK than money. Fenerbahce’s offer was 4 times more than what I earn at PAOK,” he revealed.

The Greek international scored 12 goals and made 11 assists in 36 games for his club last season.
