Galatasaray thrash Kasimpasa 4-1

The Lions emerged victorious from a drenched Turk Telekom Stadium as they had to wait until the second half to unlock Kasimpasa’s defense.

Galatasaray handed Kasimpasa their first loss of the season Friday evening with a 4-1 a victory at home as the two Istanbul teams switched positions at the top of the table.

Striker Eren Derdiyok opened the scoring for the home team in the 55th minute at Turk Telekom Stadium.

Four minutes later, Garry Rodrigues doubled the lead for Galatasaray.

Rodrigues added his second goal of the night in the 65th minute.

Kasimpasa’s in-form forward Mbaye Diagne got his team their only goal of the night via a penalty in the 76th minute. The referee used the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to confirm his penalty decision.

Just one minute later, Galatasaray scored again when defender Serdar Aziz found the back of the net to give his team the 3 points.

This is Kasimpasa’s first loss of the season so far. The small Istanbul club started off the new campaign with a bang, winning 4 of their 5 games so far.
