Galatasaray sign Kostas Mitroglou on loan

The Lions have added Greek forward Kostas Mitroglou to their squad.

Galatasaray have completed the loan transfer of Kostas Mitroglou from Olympique Marseille, the Turkish club confirmed on Thursday. The transfer was announced on Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) as well as the club’s official website.

The Greece international has joined the Turkish club on a one-and-a-half year loan.

Galatasaray will not pay the French club a loan fee but will cover the player’s wages for the duration of the loan.

For the rest of the 2018/2019 season, the Super Lig giants will pay him €1.5 million while for the 2019/2020 season he will earn €2.6 million.

The powerful forward has been assigned the number 22.
