Antalayaspor remove Aly Cissokho from squad

The French left-back has been omitted from the first team due to poor performances.

Antalyaspor have excluded their left-back Aly Cissokho from the first team indefinitely due to the player’s poor performances and “difficulty adapting to the team”, the club announced on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old joined the Turkish club prior to the start of the season from Malatyaspor. He made 14 league and 2 Turkish Cup appearances before the club’s coaching staff decided they no longer need his services for the time being.

Cissokho has played for some of Europe’s biggest clubs in his career including FC Porto, Olympique Lyon, Valencia, Liverpool, Olympiacos and Aston Villa.

His contract with Antalyaspor runs until June 2020.
