Schalke plan move for Galatasaray’s Feghouli

The Algerian international is wanted by the German football club.

Galatasaray winger Sofiane Feghouli has attracted the attention of FC Schalke 04 with his performances this season, according to reports in Turkey.

The 29-year-old is on the radar of the Bundesliga outfit, who are reported to be considering making a move for the winger at the end of the season.

The Lions are likely to cash in the Algerian knowing that they need to raise funds in order to meet Financial Fair Play obligations, as per the agreement they club made with UEFA last year.

Sources close to the club claim the club’s management plan to use the transfer fee generated from the sale on bringing in younger players.

After shipping off Bafetimbi Gomis and Garry Rodrigues to the Middle East last year, Galatasaray also received offers from oil-rich Arab clubs for Feghouli in the summer of 2018 but ultimately decided to keep hold of the player at least until the end of the current season.

Feghouli has been ever-present for Galatasaray this season, having scored 7 goals and contributed 4 assists in 23 league appearances thus far.

In all competitions this season, he has made 32 appearances during which he scored 9 goals.
