Fatih Terim trolls opponents after winning title

The Emperor strikes back. The Turkish coach took to Twitter to respond to criticism after Sunday’s victory over rivals.

Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim, widely hailed as the best Turkish manager of all time, responded to criticism from Istanbul Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci with a Tweet after their duel on Sunday evening.

Terim, known as The Emperor in Turkey, was involved in a scuffle in the 80th minute of the Galatasaray-Istanbul Basaksehir duel on Sunday which saw tensions flare between his camp and several Basaksehir players including midfielder Emre Belozoglu and striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Avci, clearly unimpressed with the altercation which he alleged Terim instigated, called out Terim in the post-game press conference where he criticized him for his alleged behaviour, which saw him sent off to the stands by the game’s referee Cuneyt Cakir.

Terim, known for his temper and occasional outbursts, responded to Avci by sharing a screen shot of the Super Lig table after their duel ended in a 2-1 victory thereby crowning Galatasaray as champions.

Take a look at Terim’s cheeky response below.
