Fenerbahce’s Ozan Tufan linked with Italian club

The Turkish midfielder is wanted by Italy’s Lecce.

Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan could be headed for the exit door after reports in Italy claim he is wanted by Italian minnows Lecce.

The 24-year-old spent the second half of the previous season on loan with Alanyaspor after falling out with the coaching staff at Fenerbahce, mainly due to lack of fitness and consistency.

Tufan, known to struggle with weight issues, turned things around while at Alanyaspor where he was given a new lease on life under coach Sergen Yalcin.

According to the reports, Lecce are preparing to offer €3 million for the Turkish midfielder.

Whether he will remain with Fenerbahce or be sold, however, will be decided by Fenerbahce’s coach, Ersun Yanal.
