Fenerbahce snap up Turkish youngster from Germany

The Yellow Canaries have transferred youngster Murat Saglam from Wolfsburg II.

Fenerbahce have confirmed the transfer of right-back Murat Saglam from Wolfsburg II on Saturday.

The 21-year-old has joined the Turkish club from the German lower leagues on a free transfer after being released from Woflsburg’s second team.

The Turkish Super Lig side announced the player, who is also capable of playing as a midfielder and a winger, has signed a three-year contract with the club which includes an optional one-year extension.

Fenerbahce’s sporting director Damien Comolli was also present during the signing ceremony of their new player.

Trabzonspor were also in advanced talks with the young Germany-born player but failed to reach an agreement.
