Trabzonspor increase Anthony Nwakaeme’s release clause

The Black Sea Storm have upped the release clause of one of their best performers as well as increase his salary.

Trabzonspor’s Anthony Nwakaeme will remain with the club beyond the summer despite interest in the forward from abroad.

The club’s management have rejected all offers for the Nigerian forward. In order to avoid losing Nwakaeme, Trabzonspor have increased the release clause in the player’s contract from €4.5 million to €8 million after talks with the player.

In addition to this, the club have given the 29-year-old a pay raise.

Previously earning €1 million per season, Nwakaeme’s salary is now roughly €1.5 million per season including bonuses.

During the 2018-2019 season, the Nigerian forward bagged 11 goals and made 11 assists in the 35 appearances he made for Trabzonspor.
