Fenerbahce are not planning to make a move for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil. That is according to the statement the club published on their official website on Wednesday.
The former Germany international has been widely reported to be on his way to Turkey with Fenerbahce as his potential suitors but the Super Lig club have dismissed the reports.
“Fenerbahce have no intention of bringing in Mesut Ozil. The transfer is not possible for, either, the club or Mesut Ozil under the current economic conditions,” the statement on Fenerbahce’s official website read.
The 30-year-old is known to be a Fenerbahce supporter and has been reported to be headed for the exit from the London-based club this summer, however, it seems he will remain an Arsenal player.
