Galatasaray bid €1.5m for Uruguay striker

The Lions have approached Uruguay club Juventud for their 22-year-old striker.

Galatasaray are searching high and low for their next goalscorer before the new season begins. The latest name to be linked with the club is a relatively unknown young forward from Uruguay named Joaquin Zeballos.

According to Juventud’s president, Yamandu Costa, Galatasaray have offered the Uruguay club €1.5 million for their 22-year-old forward.

Costa made the claim when he addressed the interest clubs have shown in his team’s young players.

“There is a lot of interest in our young players. Galatasaray, for example, offered 1.5 million euro for Joaquin Zeballos. If there’s an agreement, the transfer can take place,” the Uruguay club’s president claimed.

The 22-year-old Zeballos, a tall forward with an eye for goal, has attracted interest from European clubs with his performances this season, managing to score 11 goals in 14 appearances.
