Galatasaray looking for sponsors for Falcao transfer

The Lions are willing to stretch their finances to complete the transfer of striker Radamel Falcao.

Turkish football champions Galatasaray are looking to exhaust all options in order to pull off what would be the signing of the summer for Turkish football.

The Super Lig champions are working on bringing Colombian legend Radamel Falcao to Istanbul but one major obstacle is the striker’s high wages.

Galatasaray are hoping to find a buyer for their €13 million-rated forward Mbaye Diagne which would in turn give them the funds needed to finance a big part of Falcao’s transfer.

However, Falcao’s annual salary still remains an issue for the Turkish club who are reported to be in talks with sponsors that would be willing to cover a large part of the player’s wages.

The potential of Falcao’s transfer to Galatasaray has caused thousands of the club’s fans to bombard the player and his wife’s Instagram page’s with the now-infamous “Come to Galatasaray” messages.

Meanwhile, former Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza is another name linked with Galatasaray as of recently.

The Brazilian midfielder is on the club’s shortlist but a deal is yet to be announced.
