Trabzonspor are on the verge of pulling off what could be the transfer of the summer for Turkish football. The Super Lig club have agreed terms with English striker Daniel Sturridge, according to reports in Turkey.
The 29-year-old has ended his stay with Liverpool after his contract expired on July 1 and is officially a free agent.
Reports in Turkey claim Sturridge is open to a move to the Super Lig.
Trabzonspor have sent an official to meet with Sturridge, currently in the United States, in order to convince the player that his future lies with the Turkish club.
The offer is a three-year deal and includes a signing bonus and performance-based bonuses as well as a high-figure salary.
The English forward, who has been plagued by injuries through-out his career, has never played for a club outside of England.
