Granada sign Turkish defender Koybasi

The Turkish defender has left Fenerbahce to continue his career with Spanish outfit Granada.

La Liga outfit Granada have signed Turkish defender Ismail Koybasi from Fenerbahce, both clubs confirmed on Thursday via their official social media accounts.

The 30-year-old defender has agreed to a one-year contract with Granada with the option to extend his deal for another season at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign. Granada have completed the transfer without paying Fenerbahce a transfer fee, according to reports.

Koybasi, who had played for Fenerbahce since 2016, made 17 appearances for the Super Lig giants last season.

He becomes the third Turkish player in La Liga, joining his fellow countrymen Okay Yokuslu of Celta Vigo and Enes Unal of Valladolid.
