Galatasaray rank among Top 30 European clubs

The Lions have been ranked in 23rd place with 157 points among the Top 30 European clubs of all time.

Turkey’s most successful football club, Galatasaray, have found a place among the Top 30 European clubs of all time.

According to UEFA, European football’s governing body, Galatasaray are in 23rd place with 157 points.

The Istanbul club have featured in 26 editions of UEFA’s European Cup as well as the Champions League.

Galatasaray famously won the UEFA Cup in 2000 by defeating Arsenal and just a few months later, the UEFA Super Cup after emerging victorious against Real Madrid, who are the all-time top club in UEFA European Cup rankings.

UEFA acknowledged Real Madrid’s superiority in a statement, highlighting their success in Europe.

“When it comes to Europe’s top club competition, Real Madrid are some way out in front: as well as having won the most trophies, they have played, won, drawn and lost more games than any other side, as well as scoring and conceding more goals,” the statement released last Tuesday read.
