Trabzonspor release Ogenyi Onazi

The Black Sea Storm have terminated the contract of Nigerian midfielder Ogeny Onazi.

Turkish football club Trabzonspor have cut ties with Nigerian international Ogenyi Onazi, the club announced on Wednesday.

According to the statement released by the club on their official website, the player’s contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

The 27-year-old central midfielder was in the final six months of his deal with Trabzonspor which expired at the end of the season.

In just a few hours since his release, Onazi has already found himself a new club, however.

Super Lig newcomers Denizlispor have snapped up the player on a free transfer.

Onazi has joined Denizlispor on Wednesday just hours after being released by Trabzonspor.

He has inked a one-and-a-half year deal with The Roosters which includes an optional one-year extension.
