Arsenal offer contract to Oguzhan

Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup is considering an offer from Arsenal.

Sources in Turkey are reporting Arsenal have made a lucrative contract offer to Oguzhan Ozyakup, who’s eligible to hold talks with clubs as he is in the final months of his contract. Besiktas are resigned to losing one of their best players for free, not having been able to agree to a contract extension with the talented player.

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has spoken personally with the midfielder about bringing him back to London.

Ozyakup spent 4 years as a youth at the club’s academies before being deemed not good enough. Times have changed it seems however.

Besiktas signed Oguzhan back in 20012 for €500,000. Since joining the club, he has made over 150 appearances and scored 24 goals. The Turkish international has established himself as a regular first-team player.

The 25-year-old has been reported to want to return to England where he can continue his career.
