Tosun: I came to Everton to win a trophy

Cenk Tosun, who transferred to Everton from Besiktas for €27 million making him the most expensive Turkish player ever, said he wanted to win cups with the Merseyside club.

Cenk Tosun, prior to moving clubs, was one of the most-wanted players in Turkey due to his goal-scoring form for former club Besiktas. He had found the back of the net 14 times in the first half of the season.

However, since his move to England, the player has found his playing time limited by manager Sam Allardyce. The striker has appeared just three times in the Everton shirt and hasn’t scored a single goal yet.

Tosun said he had difficulties in the first weeks but has managed to adapt to the changes.  He spoke of the style of football played in England; “I like the tempo played here. It’s difficult but I accepted it. With every match that passes, I enjoy it more.”, said the Turkish international.

“I want to help the team achieve it’s objectives. I’m working hard towards this. I hope to win all the possible trophies with Everton.”, continued the striker before the interview wrapped up.
