Gomis: “My target was to score 25 goals”

Galatasaray’s French striker Bafetimbi Gomis made an appearance on French television with beIN Sports and made comments about his experience in Turkey so far including his goal target for the season.

The French striker has been making headlines in France all season with his stellar performances for Galatasaray and most recently was a guest on a French televsion program broadcasted by beIN Sports.

“It wasn’t difficult to adapt. The African players received me well and I did the best I could to adapt.”, said Gomis after being asked if he had issues adapting to the league.

He continued to address several matters inlcuding his season objectives, opponents and coach;

“When I arrived, I set a target of 25 goals and I’ve reached that target with 10 matches still left to play. I’m going to do as much as I can for the title in the remaining weeks. In the match against Fenerbahce, everything was very nice. My hairs stood up. Unfortunately, it finished 0-0 and we couldn’t make our fans happy.”, the 32-year-old said to the panel.

The French striker said the biggest name at the club is Fatih Terim, in the eyes of the club’s supporters. He emphasized he would like to play for the national team but is now focused on winning the league with Galatasaray.
