Galatasaray looking to sign another Japanese

The latest player to be linked with Galatasaray is Japanese winger Shoya Nakajima.

Galatasaray are reportedly looking to sign another Japanese player after the positive attention they’ve received from the Far East in terms of interest after signing Inter’s veteran full-back Yuto Nagatomo on loan until the end of the season.

Shoya Nakajima initially moved on a loan transfer from FC Tokyo to Portuguese side Portimonense SC at the beginning of the Liga NOS season however the club have been so impressed with him that they signed the player permanently for an undisclosed amount.

Besides Galatasaray, other European teams have set eyes on the talented midfielder and continue to monitor the player on a regular basis. Benfica, Porto, Manchester United, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are some of other clubs monitoring the Japanese player.

Nakajima plays mainly on the left wing and is right-footed with an eye for goal. He has scored 9 goals and made 8 assists in the 27 appearances he has made for Portimonense.
