Sivasspor manager Aybaba resigns after defeat

Samet Aybaba has left his position as manager of Sivasspor.

Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor are looking for a new manager after Samet Aybaba resigned following tonight’s defeat to Besiktas.

The club’s final game of the season was against Istanbul powerhouse Besiktas where they lost 5-1 away.

The manager, who is rumoured to have held talks with Trabzonspor, explained to reporters after the game;

“Most likely, we will have meetings with some clubs next week. I spoke with the Sivasspor hierarchy and we decided that we could not work together anymore, thus my decision to resign.”

The 63-year-old took charge of the club in 2017 and has led them to 7th place this season.
